Talk:OODA

Is OODA even coherent with complexity science and thinking ecologically? Or is it best treated as a vestige of the days when clever people got rather fixated by information processing in computing as an analogy for human cognition? It's maybe graduated to predictive processing... but it's all founded on the map rather than the territory!
- First up, in thinking ecologically, we might look to replace any nouns with verbs. Maybe start by replacing observations with observe?
- Then, might we switch those around, as our observing (perceiving) will emerge from our efforts to orient ourselves?
- Then respect how we act (probe) to perceive affordances? Respecting that perception and action are coupled?
- Then maybe accept that in this probing, we've already been making decisions? ---- Singleblade✆✉ 06:58, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
