Talk:Butterfly stamping
Add the story about the creation of the first data set to the page - the first set was based on a series of Olympic sports and for each sport a description of chaotic, complex, complicated, clear (at the time simple) and confused (at the time disorder) domains was written. This created a 20 x 5 matrix and the individual cells were then used as the individual items - --GregBro (talk) 11:53, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
There is mention of time but not recommendation on the suggest interval - my preference is to allow around 20-30 mins so there is time for discussion and collaboration - --GregBro (talk) 11:55, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Add the magic roundabout - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Roundabout_(Swindon) - --GregBro (talk) 12:12, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Add a note on group size to avoid ambiguity - size of 5 - 12 at most - --GregBro (talk) 12:21, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Added style="vertical-align: top;" to the rows to make the table easier to read - --GregBro (talk) 12:29, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
General change of disorder to confused - --GregBro (talk) 13:47, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Preparation
Butterfly stamping generic items: broken link to pdf doc--LucaOrlassino (talk) 21:35, 24 February 2021 (UTC) - have ping Alistair to see if he can recover these as the link is to the old wiki - --GregBro (talk) 14:25, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Alistar has found the file - https://cdn.cognitive-edge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2015/01/16071230/Butterfly-Stamping-Items-Avery-Labels-5195.pdf but I can't upload this to the wiki as pdf is not a file type supported = --GregBro (talk) 18:51, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Add a section header as more sets become available - have pinged Gary, vai Haunt to see if he's happy for the 'canandian' set to be added - --GregBro (talk) 14:25, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Gary has a set he created here - https://app.box.com/s/c4piklqqu94cd62tabdir9vzzqr90gu9 - --GregBro (talk) 12:02, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
There are two links for the generic set - one external and one internal - need to align these - --GregBro (talk) 10:15, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
I've created a new article, called Training data-sets, in which the same preparation procedure is explained. The form is different, but the substance is more or less equivalent. I propose to partially replace the preparation description here with a reference to the new article. Moreover, the article contains new proposed sample data-sets. This is also relevant for the other remarks about "Preparation" here above. -----Luca OrlassinoT-A-L-K 17:50, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
