Added a comment about the use of Markup in preference to HTML as this makes the flow of the page easier to maintain and editing simpler and more straight forward --Gregb^talk 08:48, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

It would be great to have that comment moved to the style sheet as that's where the more technical convention guidelines are. I was thinking to keep this page minimal tech jargon as it can be a bit daunting for people unfamiliar with the terminology. It sounds like you have a lot more technical understanding - if you'd like to flesh out the style sheet to suit how you think things need to be that would be amazing. It could do with a bit of an update. Keep in mind, the editing toolbar has defaults set for line breaks etc, so you may be pushing an uphill battle if you don't want people to use the default tools provided. @GregB ---  kitt ^(TALK)  09:58, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Kitt I had missed that you had moved this to the style sheet and will do some editing - the trend has been to move towards markup for documentation recently for development and elimination of HTML or at least simplification for readablity etc.

Focus of this page continues to be contribution and not the wider community for now with a view that we'll come back to the community once the field guide priorities are addressed and we have a simpler more effective way of onboarding.
